Profits From Your Kitchen is a start-up course for anyone who makes homemade food. Starting a small batch food business is one of the most difficult tasks you will do in life. Starting a business is hard work. But a food business brings unique challenges depending on the product you sell.
Bakers often think everyone wants to buy their delicious cakes, pies, and cookies. Every grill-master does not make a fantastic barbecue sauce. Learn to take a serious look at your product and learn who your target audience is. Will your product sell best at a farmers’ market, gourmet food shop, or via e-commerce?

What is a Cottage Food Operator? A CFO is a business operated by a person who produces non-potentially hazardous food. CFO’s produce foods in their home kitchen, or a commercial kitchen.
